I have 2 boys and 1 girl. The problem is that my eldest child (boy) is very timid and he cries and throws tantrums very easily. On the other hand, my youngest (girl) is very brave and independent.
What can I do make my eldest child behave more like an elder brother i.e. more brave?

Unfortunately, you did not give me your children’s ages. I will try my best to answer your question.
Every child is an individual and we should really accept them as they are.Do not compare and try to steer away from ‘your sister can do this why you cannot…”
However, your eldest child crying and throwing tantrums may be a sign that he is frustrated and is unable or does not know how to express himself. I suggest you monitor when and why he cries and throws a tantrum. When he does throw a tantrum, leave him to work out his frustration. When he stops crying, go to him and ask gently why he is upset. You may want to suggest to him how he should express himself in furture or react in a more appropriate way. When he does do so, don’t forget to praise him.
