I am wondering why my newborn ( 6 weeks ) daughter keeps on crying through the day?
If is colic, I understand she will cry in the evening but she was fussy and crying through the day.
What can I do?

Dear Ms Chee
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately you have given me very little information about your baby.
6 week old babies are generally more settled and not so likely to be colicky. Babies cry for many reasons. Common reasons include hungry, tired, sleepy, needing attention and /or being uncomfortable. Sometimes a baby cries because she is too tired or overstimulated.
Babies should have a simple routine and regular naps with a bedtime routine. I suggest you monitor your baby feeding, sleeping, wakeful and crying patterns. From there you may be able to see why your baby is “crying throughout the day”. You may need to monitor for a week or two before you see a pattern. Once you have the information, you will know what to do.
All the best!
