Inside the mind of a six year old
by MamapumpkinPosted on 19 November 2010
As a check on my 6 year old’s sanity and state of mind, I decided to interview her recently. It’s always good to know that you’re all working on the same page as parent and child, and as a family. Perhaps you could try the same with your 6 year old and see what the outcome is. You’re bound to get some good laughs from their answers, if anything!
T1, you are a famous little girl because your Mommy is a blogger and many people read about your daily adventures. How do you feel about that?
Mmmm…..I like it!!! *big grin*
I’m going to interview you today for the viewing of my readers. Are you alright with that?
OK!
How old are you?
I am six. My birthday is on 13th September 2004. I am six and my sister is one. That’s five years difference.
Do you like being a kid? Why?
*nods* Yes, because I can fit through small stuff when we play hide and seek and I also don’t have to stay in my own house. I can stay with my Mommy and Daddy and sleep with them. I can go to lots of birthday parties. I have many more reasons but I can’t think of all of them right now.
What is a kid?
A kid is a small person, smaller than an adult and goes to school.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I will be a doctor and my Daddy will be the person who gets the money, the receptionist. The boss will be my Mommy and my helper will be my sister. I will find a house and live with somebody, maybe a friend or family, and my Zoobie cat, to keep me company.

How are you going to get there?
I will study hard. In school. I will do my work and think my best to get them right and then I will find the best job and get some money and then do all of the above……
What do you like doing when you’re not in school?
I like to have my Mommy alone, I like to play with my jigsaw puzzles, my toys, buy my family stuff and make people happy.
What makes you happy?
My sister playing with me happily!!! When my Mommy and Daddy play with me, it’s such a happy time. I like spending time with my Mommy going out to parties, to the shops, to the cinema, to the park, to anywhere!!
What makes you angry?
When my Daddy shouts at me or when my sister hits and scratches me. Also when my friends don’t want to play with me.
What makes you sad?
When my friends don’t want to play with me and if my sister gets hurt and cries.
What makes you special?
What makes me special is that I have a sister that does not eat. Does anyone else have a sister that does not eat??? I also look pretty without make-up on, my Mommy always tells me that. I can make funny sounds like this *&@%#(@)^((#0++ (a drawl of unexplainable noise slurs out) and I can multi-task, you know? I am so talented, I always sneeze and fart at the same time!!! Can you do that?
What are your weaknesses?
What’s weaknesses?
Things you cannot do…..
Oh, definitely whistling. I also can’t stop moving around and stop talking. I have to touch everything and I cannot sit still……
If you had all the money in the world, what would you do?
I will be more happy and buy more toys! I will give some of my toys to my friends so that they can be happy too. (hey, what about your parents???)
What do you think of the kids around you?
They are happy. Some are grumpy, some are sad, funny, cute…..
Would you like more money to make you more happy?
No, not really. Look at me now!!! I’m so happy with my sister!!! (guffaws of laughter whilst she chases after her baby sister and causes a ruckus)
What do you think of this world?
It is a world! It’s a happy world, it’s a difficult world, it’s a dangerous world.
How can you contribute to making this world a better place?
What’s contribute?
Contribute is to do something that you can add to….
I’m going to make all the bad people do good things. If for example, someone likes to steal, I’ll find out what they don’t like and give it to them. Or invent a machine which I can just zap them with. That would get rid of all the bad people. Zap-zap-zap!!! (she’s doing some Ben10 action moves)
Thank you, T1. That concludes our interview for today. Thank you very much for your time.
What’s conclude?
The end.
