Save The World, Change to Cloth Diapers!

I was so happy after GCDC organizer (Great Cloth Diapers Change 2011 Malaysia) chose my place as their rendezvous for the greatest event of the year for greeny parents – the Great Cloth Diapers Change 2011. Scriptory Box - that’s the name of my place!
The event was held on 24th April at midnight to synchronize with American time. The diapers’ changing had to be made simultaneously all around the world to get into the Guiness World Record. Oh yeah, didn’t I tell you that this event is to create a world record of the biggest diapers’ changing ever (to cloth diapers) for Earth Day? It was so exciting to be part of it!
The event started with a small bazaar at Scriptory Box, at around 10 am. There were also a series of talks by some famous personalities in natural parenting, including the actress, Madam Dynas. She talked about ‘Breastfeeding in Public’.
I wasn’t there all the time because I was still in confinement. But the baby couldn’t wait to feel the vibes! *giggle*
The night event started at 10.00 pm when the mothers and babies gathered at the nappy changing arena. They were also served with light supper.
The great changing started when the whistle blew at 12.30 midnight. Dynas and Madam Zatul Hijanah (Mami & Baby columnist) were there to witness the event.
In less than 5 minutes, the world record had been broken! I was so proud even if I wasn’t one of the record breakers.
Cloth diapering is one of the ways to save our Earth by reducing non-degradable waste in our landfill. Have you changed from disposable diapers to this amazing cloth diapers? It isn’t easy to get back to the basics but it would be an addiction once we have tried it. 
Just like how I love breastfeeding so much.
