Dr. Khoo Phaik Choo
Consultant Paediatrician
MBBS (MAL), LRCP (London), MRCS (UK), DCH (London), MRCP (UK)
Dr. Khoo graduated from University Malaya in 1979, with distinction in Pharmacology. She studied for her post graduate in Paediatrics in the United Kingdom and returned to University Hospital (now University Malaya Medical Centre) in 1983 as a lecturer in Paediatrics, with responsibilities in clinical and research work. She was also the lecturer in charged of the Diarrhoea & Infectious Diseases Ward and the Paediatric Dermatology Clinic.
She was the Secretary of the Malaysian Paediatric Association from 1984 to1986
and is a member of the Honorary Editorial Advisory Board of MIMs & MIMs Paediatrics, Health Today and various parenting magazines, and member of the Advisory Board for Paracetamol Usage in Paediatrics. She is also a member of Kelab Asma Kanak-kanak Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan, Malaysian Society of Allergy & Immunology, a life member of Malaysian Society for PAIN, and a life member of the Malaysian Paediatric Association.
Dr. Khoo has published papers on the “Use of Emollients in Eczema in Children” & “Use of Low Lactose Milk Formulae in Diarrhoeal Disease”.
Presently Dr Khoo is a practising Consultant Paediatrician based in the Klang Valley.
