My daughter will be 3 years in a few weeks, but she still doesn’t have a
full set of teeth…She used to breastfeed untill she was 2 years but
refuses to take any milk now except ocassionally taking chocolate milk (in
the box) and yogurt. She would eat anything, even vegies and fruits..She
only had her first tooth at 1 year 4 months..I’m worried…Is she getting
enough calcium?
Thank you

Hi Faizah,
Thank you for your enquiry.
In general, most babies will achive their full set of 20 teeth by 3 years of age. new teeth can still erupt till age four. Thus for now please dont worry.
let me congrartulate you for breast feeding your baby till 2 yrs old You have given her a good start in life.
If she eats well, then it is unimportant to offer frequent milk feeds. You can judge her nutritional status by checking with your paediatrician regarding her growth charts. Milk substitutes like cheese, yoghurt and butter will allow her to get her daily calcium needs.
Its important to have adequate protein and the best sources remain veggies and meats.
I hope this has been of some help.
With kind regards
Dr. Sanjay
